
About the Program
What is the Summer Workforce Development Institute?
The KRoussaw Foundation Summer Workforce Development Institute is a five-week workforce readiness and career exploration program designed to expose youth and young adults to high-demand career pathways while developing professional, leadership, and workplace skills.
Participants will engage in hands-on learning experiences, career exploration activities, guest speaker sessions, field trips, and workforce readiness training that prepares them for future educational and employment opportunities.

Dress Code
Participants are expected to dress in business casual attire throughout the program. This includes clean, professional clothing such as polo shirts, button-down shirts, blouses, khakis, dress pants, and clean sneakers or closed-toe shoes. Clothing with offensive language or graphics, excessively ripped clothing, pajamas, slides, or other inappropriate attire should not be worn. Our goal is to help participants develop professional workplace habits while maintaining a comfortable learning environment.
