How much is the program?
The cost of the program is $250 which is a breakdown of $150 for the after-school tuition, $50 for field trips and activities, and another $50 for transportation
Do you offer scholarships and or Waivers?
Yes, our goal is to make the program and all that we offer affordable for all, so we offer waivers and scholarship options so that cost is never a barrier to attend our programs. All you would need to do is provide income verification to see if you qualify.
Do you offer transportation?
Yes, we offer transportation from schools to the site location where you pick up your child.
What would I need to do to set up transportation?
In order for us to set your child/children you would need to fill out our authorization form and provide the school with a copy to ensure a smooth setup and open communication between our program and the school your child attends.
Do you drop children off at home as well?
Yes, we drop off children to designated pickup locations that are close and convenient to where you live. To ensure safe and efficient rides we do ask that parents arrive on time to the pickup stops at their designated times.
Does my child have to come every day?
No, we do not require children come every day as they may have other obligations and activities but payments are not adjusted for days missed as spots are limited, and payments solidify your child's seat in our program.
Do you pick up on half days?
We do not pick children up on half days from school. In the event that your child has a half day in school they are more than welcome to still attend after care on those days, but parents would be responsible for drop off to the program site and we can and will provide transportation home on said days if applicable.
What are the hours of the program?
The program hours are from 4pm until 7pm Monday through Friday. We are closed on holidays and in the event of inclement weather all parents are notified of program closures as well.
What will my child be doing in the program?
We have created a diverse and well-rounded program that incorporates a vast curriculum which includes literacy, culinary arts, outdoor activities, social emotional learning, financial literacy, performing arts, photography, sports, out of town field trips and we bring in experts in content areas that work directly with the children to grow their exposure to new content areas and see what peaks their interest.
Do you provide meals?
We do provide a snack each and every day of the program. If you would like to provide any additional snacks for your child that as an option as well. All snacks we provide are intended to be healthy options as we strive to provide children with healthy lifestyles.
How old do you have to be to be enrolled?
Enrollment in our after-school program starts at 5 years old and ends at 13 years old. In the event that your child turns 5 years old in the first month of the programs start exceptions can be made.
Why should I sign my child up for this program?
This program is truly about your child receiving an experience. We believe in a track record of performance that strives to be better and provide quality programming. This is why we offer all that we do. If you are looking for a diverse program that believes in exposing your child to new and inventive ideas this is the program for you. If you believe in your child being a part of a community with a village mindset this is the program for you.
Do you accept children with special needs?
Yes, we believe that every child is equal and deserves the same quality programming as their peers. So, we have hired experienced individuals who are equipped to work with any and all children.
Do you offer tutoring services?
In our program we offer a wide range of homework help that supports each child's individual needs and supports them with content areas they may need additional support in.
Is this only for DC residents?
No, this program is for any child or parent in the DC Metropolitain area that is looking for and seeking quality programming.
